Fine Contrast Mode Selection
The Fine Contrast function offers five different
imaging modes — Text, Picture, Movie, Custom and
sRGB — for the one that best suits the type of
application you are using. Toggling between modes is
simple with a button on the front panel. |
Image Mode Assignment
Part of the bundled ScreenManager Pro for LCD
utility software, this function lets you assign a
Fine Contrast mode to a specific application.
Whenever the application is selected, the screen
automatically changes to the assigned mode. Also
included is a WindowMovie mode, which darkens the
surrounding background so the video window appears
clearer and brighter. |
14-Bit Color Processing
EIZO's powerful new ASIC (application specific
integrated circuit) provides 14-bit color processing
capability for smooth, accurate grayscale and color
rendering even in darker tones, which are typically
difficult for LCD monitors to reproduce accurately. |
Independent 6-Color Control
Extensive color control allows the precise
adjustment of even a single color in an image. You
can independently adjust hue and saturation for each
primary (red, green, blue) and secondary (cyan,
magenta, yellow) color. |
Placement Flexibility
The FlexScan L887 offers exceptional flexibility to
accommodate both your work style and your work
space. The stand is height adjustable through an 82
mm range and provides 41° tilt and 70° swivel so
every user can easily set the ideal position. It
also pivots 90° for portrait mode viewing.
Compatibility with VESA mounting standards allows
the monitor to be removed from the stand for
mounting on a movable arm or wall bracket. |
Digital and Analog Inputs
With both DVI-D and D-Sub mini 15-pin inputs, you
can use a computer that has either a digital or an
analog graphics board (or both if connected to two
computers), and quickly switch between the inputs
via a front panel button. |
Brightness Stabilization Function
Ensures stable brightness - necessary for the proper
display of color - with EIZO patented technology*. A
drift correction sensor quickly stabilizes the
brightness level after startup or coming out of
power saving mode. Furthermore, the monitor detects
and automatically compensates for brightness changes
caused by surrounding temperatures and the passage
of time.

Image Scaling and Smoothing
When resolutions lower than the native resolution
are preferred, images can be scaled up to fill most
or the entire screen. A five-stage adjustment
smoothing function refines the jagged or blurred
text or graphics, which often result from the
scaling process. |
Product Information Display
The product name, serial number, and total usage
time can all be confirmed in the on-screen display
menu. |
Free Mount Capability
Panel can be removed from its stand and can be
mounted on VESA-compliant arms or stands. |
Customer Assurance
Complies with leading industry standards, including
TCO'03 and TÜV Ergonomics. It also conforms to
EIZO's own strict Eco Products 2004 environmental
criteria for design, manufacture, packaging, and
usage, including the introduction of lead-free
solder and chrome-free steel plates. |
