Designed for demanding graphics and call center
applications, the FlexScan L985EX can display two A4
size documents at normal size on its 21.3" screen,

Ergonomic Cabinet Design
A thin bezel design of on the four sides saves
desktop space and minimizes space between screens in
a multi-panel setup. 40° tilt, 70° swivel, and 82 mm
height adjustment offer a wide range of positional
adjustments for viewing comfort. |
10-Bit Gamma Correction
Produces smooth gradations of color with its 10-bit
LUT (Look-Up Table) that automatically converts
8-bit data (256 gradations) received from the
computer to 10-bit (1,021 gradations) and then
reassigns this data back to 8-bits with the ideal
gamma values. The gamma level is adjustable from 1.4
to 3.0 in increments of 0.2 through the OSD menu or
ScreenManager® Pro for LCD software. |
Color Control
Hue, gain, saturation, and color temperature in 500K
increments from 4,000 - 10,000K are all user
adjustable. Furthermore, hue and saturation can both
be controlled independently for each primary (red,
green, blue) and secondary (cyan, magenta, yellow)
color. An sRGB mode is also included for color
matching with other applications and peripherals
that also support this color space.

Independent 6-Color Adjustment
Hue and saturation can be controlled individually
for each primary color (red, green, blue) and each
secondary color (cyan, yellow, and magenta). Since
adjustment for each color is done individually,
changes to one color will have no effect on the
others. |
Color Space Emulation
This innovative feature is part of the ScreenManager
Pro for LCD software and allows for emulating the
color characteristics of CRT or other LCD monitors
by inputting their coordinates for white, red,
green, and blue. This is especially important for
color matching with other monitors in a multi-panel
environment. In addition, it can also emulate color
spaces such as NTSC and HDTV. (Supported by Windows
98SE, Me, 2000, and XP only.) |
Brightness Stabilization Function
Ensures stable brightness - necessary for the proper
display of color - with EIZO patented technology*. A
drift correction sensor quickly stabilizes the
brightness level after startup or coming out of
power saving mode. Furthermore, the monitor detects
and automatically compensates for brightness changes
caused by surrounding temperatures and the passage
of time.

Image Scaling and Smoothing
When resolutions lower than the native resolution
are preferred, images can be scaled up to fill most
or the entire screen. A five-stage adjustment
smoothing function refines the jagged or blurred
text or graphics, which often result from the
scaling process. |
Product Information Display
The product name, serial number, and total usage
time can all be confirmed in the on-screen display
menu. |
Free Mount Capability
Panel can be removed from its stand and can be
mounted on VESA-compliant arms or stands. |
Regulatory Standards
Complies with current international standards
concerning safety, ergonomics, and power management
as well as "EIZO Eco Products 2002," an in-house
label covering such environmental issues as
manufacture with lead-free solder and chrome-free
